Tom’s Trowel

I have a shed full of garden tools to photograph. Trowels and garden forks in every shape and size imaginable. Hoes of every hue, and as for watering cans – well I’ll save them for another post.

One of my favourite tools, though, is this lovely garden trowel. My husband Tom made it in a metalwork class when he was just a young lad. He tells me he got an A+ for it, and I can see why. It is rare to come across a trowel with such a pleasing shape – the handle is comfortable and it looks great in photographs.

Much of the original yellow paint has peeled off now, so I only use it on rare occasions – but thought I’d give it an airing for you today.
