Calendula officianalis ‘Porcipine’
Marigolds make a wonderful splash of orange in my garden in late summer. As they are the only flowers I allow in this colour, they give me the perfect excuse to bring out anything that goes with orange in my props shed to take some photographs.
My favourite marigold is ‘Porcupine’ with spiky flower heads of vibrant orange. They look wonderful as cut flowers and, as the flowerheads are edible, they make a decorative addition the salad bowl too.
