In Autumn my kitchen and greenhouse shelves are packed with a variety of cucurbits.

Some are grown in my own garden, others purchased in October at the annual pumpkin festival in Slindon, West Sussex.

I should be cooking them, but they look so lovely I’ll just wait another week…
