I have more than enough wooden stepladders in my garden shed.
Some are old, some new, they are of differing heights, and most are painted.
All are used throughout the year for some arrangement or other here. Many of my professional photographs are about displaying different assortments of plants, and I find stepladders are good for giving height and additional interest.
They are also useful for training climbing or trailing plants over.
For smaller gardens they are an ideal way to display plants in containers and other decorative objects. I also use steps as a holding area for new purchases, often to give them centre stage before they are planted out in the garden.
